I'm looking for suggestions on a power amp for my revelation. I play more rock and roll than country so thinking about a tube power amp. I've played through a twin for a long time and liked the tone on tha but felt I could never dial I. The tone for the whole neck. So I'm looking to get close to twin tone. Check out a Mesa Boogie 50/50. I've used this at church and it's killer!

I'm new to the rack system and wondering if I can run one speaker or at least one input into a 2 12 cab? My rev is stereo and most power amps I'm interested in are as well. Thanks _________________ carter pro, 66 twin revrerb, steel king, tut taylor dobro, gibson rb 250 |

Hey Cody
I have tried a few power amps and a few pre-amps.
They all seem to break up more than I care for.
After a ridiculous amount of trial and error.
Revelation pre-amp, Stewart world 1.2 is the ticket with Earth drive. I use Telonics 2 x 15: cabs are killer.
Milage will not very with this set up.
I also own a Blackface Twin, Silverface Deluxe and Tweed Bassman and run all these set ups to the point of feedback on the clean channels. |

The 2/90/2 is an astonishing power amp. It may not be what is needed with a revelation though. It all depends on your needs and budget. I would look at some of the new class D digital power amps. Very very light and pretty cheap. My Milkman half and half sounds fantastic and certainly does the job and it has a digital power amp. For recording I use an all tube signal path though.
With that if you can afford and lift a 2/90/2 rack system you will be in amp heaven ! _________________ Bob |
