Anyone use a flanger with pedal steel?

If so, what model and what type of songs do you use it on?

Found nothing in a search.

Thnaks.

I used it years ago. I grew tired of it. Heck, you can buy mine cheapish.
Although the "flerb" setting on the Holy Grail sounded cool. It can fatten up the tone well if done subtly.

If you aren't enamored with the "metallic" sound of a flanger, and would rather have a more chorus-y sound, here's a trick.

The main difference between a flanger and a chorus is that a flanger cycles some of the output back to the input via "regeneration".

If your flanger has a Regen control, set it to zero/off. See if you like that better.

The down side to most flangers is that they are not set up with two outputs for stereo operation.

Just recently got the Alexander Pedals F.13.
It's not the absolute best for "through-zero" (their take), but it does offer some unique options.
Sounds good, too.

At 72 I'm not "enamored" with metallic sounds. Very Happy It's just that we do a few old rock and roll songs and I was just looking for a change. Getting tired of the wah-wah and fuzz side of the SteelDriver III. I have a ProCo Rat but can never get it to sound like Joe Wright(I wonder why Smile )
