I just had the most enjoyable hour of steel playing I've ever had by myself
sitting in my music room and playing my new guitar. WOW, what a guitar Bruce builds !
Here's my newest toy

That is puuurrrrrrrrty.
Congratulations on your new "toy".
I play lap steel, not pedal.
However, I am almost ready to buy a pedal steel just because they are so beautiful.
Some of them are works of art.
Maybe I could frame one somehow and hang it on a wall.
Might be a bit awkward but I think I could pull it off. _________________ I have stuff.
I try to make music with it.

Sometimes it doesn't.
But I keep on trying. |

Great looking rig.
Now you know what makes all guitars sound better are those RED George L's cables you got from me.
Maybe now we need to make you up some black ones to match this new Zum! _________________ AUTHORIZED George L's, Goodrich, Telonics and Peavey Dealer: I have 2 steels and several amps. My current rig of choice is 1993 Emmons LeGrande w/ 108 pups (Jack Strayhorn built for me), Goodrich OMNI Volume Pedal, George L's cables, Goodrich Baby Bloomer and Peavey Nashville 112. Can't get much sweeter. |

Nice JB! I was jsut thinking this morning what an awesome sound Gary Carter gets out of his blue Zumsteel. We know the player has a little something to do with the sound, but a nice foundation to take off from don't hurt! |

John.. I'm not trying to "hog in" on your post but I know EXACTLY how you feel. I just recently got my first Zum... A Hybrid, and it would take a plastic surgeon to get the smile off of my face! This guitar is perfect! I can't think of anything that could be improved ( besides my talent ). I'm Happy Happy Happy!!! Congrats on your Zum! It looks great!

John , if I had that guitar, I would not mind showing it off myself.
Chris, I had a good friend that had a Zum like yours in black. Before I was even interested in getting a pedal steel, I lusted after it. lol |

JB, that is really nice. Glad to hear you are enjoying it. I was surprised to see that guitar. You are a recent Zum-ian, if I'm not mistaken.
Something about playing for my own enjoyment is unlike playing with a band. Its a chance to appreciate the pure musicality and tone. I wonder if others feel the same?
