I have a very nice BMI 12 string guitar for sale for the paltry sum of $1,050 (shipped) to continental USA only. The guitar originally had 5 knee levers and 6 floor pedals but it currently only has 4 floor pedals installed. I'm no steel mechanic so I can't bring it back up to the original six pedals or change the copedant. It's currently tuned to extended E9 with the 2nd and 9th strings tuned to C#. I can go ahead and attach the other two pedals to the pedal board and put the other pedal rods, cross rods and bell cranks in the case. The guitar is in good shape and is a black color with a black pad and the width is probably 3/4 as it's not as wide as a double neck... You can email me at jshayes2007@cox.net or telephone at (757) 373-0115.. Here are some pix...Thanks, JH in Va.

Hi my ole friend, I can't believe you're selling this. Do you still have the wood grain BMI? |

Jerry,
I"ve got a BMI that tunes raises on one end and lowers on the other end, and it's also keyless .....I love the tone of this thing . I"m wondering how much different the tone would be on a keyed BMI with the raises and lowers all at one end of the steel ...Anyone else care to comment that are familiar with BMI steels , please feel free .....Thanks, Jim |

Hey James, I heard of those BMIs like yours but never seen one. Can you balance pulls with them such as lowering against a raise, example: use your A pedal B to C# and then a knee lever to lower it a half. Will that work with those or does the raise dominate such as with an Emmons?....JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |

Jerry ,
Not sure ..I'll have to check it out ....Jim
The way the copedant is set up I can't do that exact pull , but I can take the 4th string , bring it up 2 steps with the C pedal , and drop it down a step with a knee lever , so I'm sure I can do what you mentioned if the copedant was set up for it |

Gary,I believe it's a double raise double lower and it looks like it has a 1 inch raise kit on it, also
honeycombed changer end plate. Possibly early 80's. Just my opinion. I've always liked that short pad area on there. I have one just like it in pecan with the milled out end plate. Great guitar! Great price, and real easy to put those pedals back on and change the copedant. Good luck with your sale Jerry.
