Looking at a D12 MSA. But scared of the weight of the thing. Anybody know how much these things actually weigh?

I am trying to sell my d12 shobud for $1400 it weighs in the case about 90 pounds. It is all real curly maple. No mica laminate.

My D12 Williams is about 40 lbs, add the case(standard case, not the road case) and I'm guessing it's around 55 lbs total, less than most D10's. A great guitar also.

Not a D-12,but my '70 MSA Classic D-10 tips the bathroom scale @87 pounds in the case.IIRC MSA didn't have a forklift option

My old MSA D 12 with 10 pedals and 5 levers is well over 90 lbs. To think I toted it around for years . . and played very little C 6!

But it was sturdy!

My MSA D-10 in the flight case that came with it

I had a 70's MSA D12, when I sold it , UPS sent two trucks to pick it up... Sad

Yes, they are not the light weight but they stay in tune don't break strings and depending on the pickups they sound good. Had mine for 21 years till I traded it for a D10 otherwise I'd still have it. You know it's a midlife crisis for a prettier steel
