Saw this posted on Facebook, and thought I'd share it here in case anyone is interested. The guitar pictured is a Harmony Golden Jubilee, circa 1930's, but he says he has more that he is selling.

It was made by Harmony. I'm pretty sure it was called the Supertone. My guess is that the original finish was removed and the metal was polished. Mine isn't as pretty.

I own it. Folks that aren't members should join up, there's good stuff in there. The settings are set to public viewing, and I have no way of making it more accessible. |

Keith, every time I click on a link to a "lap steel lunatics" post I get a Facebook sign-in page. Only Facebook members can view your site. A lot of people are not registered with Facebook and don't want to be. I can view many other FB pages, band pages, small business pages, etc. I read FB pages every day, but I can't access yours. So there must be something in your FB settings that allows people who are not registered with FB to view your page. |
Lap Steel Lunatics is a "group", not a "page".
The problem is not in FB settings. Facebook differentiates between "groups" and "pages". Doug, you can access "pages" because they are mainly informational / promotional pages, with very limited interaction -- much like a website.
Groups, OTOH, are more of a "community or gathering place" where members of the group can each post material, comment on it, etc. -- much like this forum's private sections. Only "members" of the group can access it.
I maintain "pages" for our guitar store:

For my country and gospel bands:

https://www.facebook.com/TheSoundsOfJoy?fref=ts
And my gun club:

I maintain "groups" for buying/sellling/trading sporting goods:

And musical instruments:

I've deleted several unrelated postings. Please stay on the topic of Mr. Vest and the lap steels he's attempting to sell. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

I have a Harmony Supertone and would be happy to entertain offers if anyone is interested in purchasing same. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |
