I recently bought the dream of my career. I bought a 68 push pull Emmons. I am absolutely in love with it. I am getting so many compliments about my sound from people in the audience that don't have a clue what is sitting on the stage. So I also own a Zum and a Fessy. I told my wife I would have to sell one of them when I buy the Emmons. Now I can't decide which one. I love both of them equally. I just put a 705 on the Fessy last night and it sounds better than ever. The Zum has Truetones and sounds beautiful. I was originally thinking i would sell the Zum just because it is valued more than the Fessy. But Its like trying to decide which arm to cut off because I need one more than the other. LOL

The Fessy would be the first to go if it were me...

I love the Fessy. It plays as smooth and sounds as sweet as anything i have ever played. It stays in tune a little better than the Zum.

Check out Danny Sneed on Youtube if you have any doubts about Jerry's guitars.

I had a like new couple year old Fessy I bought from PeeWee Charles.. It was generic at best. Not bad, but somewhat stiff feeling and unremarkable.. I couldn't get it out the door fast enough, it just wasn't what I wanted at all ... In any case, if you think your Fessy is the superior guitar, keep it and sell the Zum.. pretty simple really...

Hi Ron

You are overlooking a couple of easy solutions.

Option # 1: Sell both of them and buy another PP.

Option # 2: List them both and keep the one that does not sell first.

Seriously though, I am in the same situation. I acquired 3 hard to find SD 10 PP's over the past 5 years ( in various conditions ) and now I should sell one or two of my D 10 PP's. It's a hard choice when it comes to picking out which ones when they are all great guitars. I might have to go with option # 2 myself.

Good luck with your choice.

Don't sell your steels until you are ready. Life is too short for such drama...

Is she gonna ask to actually see the money? If not, tell ya what: you just give one of those guitars to me for safe-keeping, and she'll think you sold it. But you can come visit it on weekends and play it to your heart's content. That way you can have your Kate and Edith too. Wink

If you are so much in love with your new Emmons that the second guitar will get little play - sell the one that has the higher value. (we know the answer to that.)

If you must part with one of them, consider which one you could replace with a new one.

I've actually decided to sell the Zum. Gonna keep the Fessy. The Zum will be here on the forum this weekend.
