I bought this guitar from Harvey Richman eight years ago, but I never got round to setting up the copedant, and it's been in its case ever since, so it's exactly as it was when he described it in the following post:-
http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=107167&highlight=

I'm not out to make anything on it, if I can just recover what I put into it, allowing for the 8 yrs. of inflation. I shall probably be moving house over the next few months, so it's time to thin out my collection. Pedal steels are to be played, not stored in their cases.
I'm thinking in the region of $900 plus shipping.
Of course, it would be best if someone could pick it up, or, if they were not too far away, I could deliver it.
I should point out that, at some stage in the past, it was refinished and someone put a Sho-Bud logo on the front. It's not a Sho-Bud, it's a Miller. Laughing
Some of the rods are not connected at the moment, so if you buy the instrument be ready to set up the copedant to your own requirements. All the parts are there.

It is. The pedals look like no-one has ever depressed them. There is some minor tarnishing of the chromework, but that's due to its age rather than use.

Harvey Richman, the previous owner, thought that it must have been refinished at some time, which would explain the Sho-Bud logo, but it doesn't look to me as though it was ever refinished. The Sho-Bud logo is a mystery.

I've looked at this several times, and was so mesmerizes by the whole guitar, that I never even noticed the Bud logo.

Alan- what is the string spacing at the nut and the bridge? What is the scale length? Thank you

Randall, using a ruler I measured the scale length at 22 15/16" (56.3 cms) from the centre of the bridge to the centre of the nut. I guess it would be known as a 23" scale.
Without using a micrometer, I measured the distance from the 1st string to the 10th, which comes out at 2 1/2" (65 mms) at the nut and 2 7/8" (73 mm) at the bridge end. So, dividing by 9 gives 5/18" (7.2 mm) and 23/72" (8.1 mm) as the inter-string spacing.
I hope this is useful.

In answer to your questions, Steve. It has seven pedals and three knee levers. At present the first three pedals are set up on the E9 neck and the other four on the C6 neck, but, as I mentioned, the copedant really needs to be set up by whoever buys it.

Alan- Thank you for the information. Very nice guitar. I was thinking "non pedal" as a last resort. (Although I would not want to mutilate.) If I could not get the undercarriage tweaked correctly to my set up. All I need is another guitar! Let me think about it a few days. Sure is a fair price. I wonder if that Sho-Bud logo is over the lacquer? I would want to remove, if easily done? Thanks RP

Randall, if that Sho-Bud logo were easy to remove I would have done so.
Actually, a good non-pedal is going to cost you more than this.
There's nothing wrong with the undercarriage. Everything works perfectly. It just needs setting.
