Hi Gang, I am trying to steam line my set up.
I play E9 steel, guitar, fiddle and lap steel.
I am looking for a solution to unplugging
all the time. Plus it would be cool to be able to bounce between intruments smoothly during the same song.
Any ideas out there. Does any one make a 4x switch??

Hey Dan,
I'm just down the road from you.
I used the Lehle 3-way switcher for a while to switch between E9, lap-steel, and guitar. It's a pretty pricey switcher, though (www.lehle.com). Now I just use an A/B box to toggle the steel and unplug/plug between guitar, lap-steel, mandoguitar, etc. on the other cord. I like that setup better than getting tangled up in a bunch of cords.
Loooper.com makes an A/B/C/D 4-way switcher. www.loooper.com (don't miss the three O's in the URL). [This message was edited by Dylan Schorer on 15 September 2004 at 08:14 AM.] |

Maybe the newer Morleys are better, but the one I had was a a real tone sucker. Huge reduction in the quality of signal when the Morley was in the chain. |

There are quite a few inexpensive 4 channel mixers on the market now that will do the job just fine. Keyboard players have used them for years. Some of them have tone controls so you can set up each instrument however you want it.....JH

I second the mini-mixer idea. I have a discontinued Rolls, but it looks like the Behringer "Eurodecks" would do the same thing. They're also helpful in recording to your computer, playing your own soundtracks to football games, a whole slew of things. |

Great feed back.
Thanks every body.
I think I will look for a used 4 channel /line
mixer. The idea of having control over the tone
is good.
Thanks again, you all have a good day.
