We had a great time at the LA Amp show this weekend. Pat Quilter came by to say hello and talk about amps, steel guitar, and the good old days of vintage gear.
The general take way was that our amplifiers are very different, and will serve steel players in different ways. It was nice to see another builder take time to build something specifically for steel guitar players. Pat said "your amp makes me want to try harder" after he played a few - I took it as a compliment

Very nice post, Tim. And two stellar amp lines for sure. I have one of each, feel very fortunate, and glad to have such choices for different sounds and feels. So grateful for and to you both. _________________ Stop by the Steel Store at: www.markvanallen.com

What Mark said. Having owned both of them I can say they're both excellent in different ways. That said, I've never seen such clean and beautiful work as Tim's amp, and I've owned Peavey, Webb, Evans, FYD, you name it.
The steel guitar community is lucky to have these great builders making their products for us. |
