Does any one know if she is still playing now that
George is gone and country music is also gone. Wondering about the steel player from England I think it was that went to work for her. Hope he is still playing. Any info appreciated. Tracy

she is releasing a new album on heart of texas records. and she has played on several package shows lately, in texas.
so, I think she is still into what's left of country music.
as you know, when it's in your blood, it's in your blood. and it is in her blood....
she married, the steel player, Jamie lennon.
but, that's all I know on that subject.

country jack....

Georgette Jones is married to my fellow Brummy (from Birmingham, England), Jamie Lennon, who is a professional pedal steel guitarist, and a member of this Forum. They are both active.

Their wedding, three years ago, was at the Country Music Hall of Fame as you can see it in the above YouTube link. Cool

I bought her most recent record, an album of her mothers' songs and she does them all justice.

Easton was a recent guest on the Steve Austin Show (pro wrestling podcast), Both Steve and Easton gave a shout out to Jamie Lennon ! Seems that Steve is a fan of old school country and steel guitar !

Jamie Lennon is a great steel guitarist in his own right. He and Georgette are well matched.
Cool

When Jamie announced that he was moving from England to Nashville, I have to admit that I was doubtful about a steel guitarist moving to a place full of steel guitarists and finding work, but he proved us all wrong. Jamie must stand as an example of, if you believe in yourself it can be done. I'm very happy for both of them. Cool

Just seen this !

Yes Georgette is staying very busy, this will be her best year yet I think!

She has recently recorded a new cd, more of her stuff, still country but a little more commercial. We used the A Team on the session, Paul, Brent etc, and I played on 3 tracks.

Ive been with Easton Corbin for almost 2 years now, currently on the Carrie Underwood tour.

lol yes Alan your right alot of people did doubt me when I said I was moving to Nashville, and im happy to have proven them wrong and being very successful so far.

Im blessed

Thanks

Jamie

I don't envy Georgette one bit. Being compared to your peers is bad enough,it would be that much worse when your parents are country music royalty and you're trying to pick up the mantle and carry on the tradition. I wish y'all the best Jamie.

Her new record is produced by Roger Miller's son Dean Miller. She also slayed it at the Ameripolitan Awards in Austin last month....
