I'd buy the Dual Professional for $500, unless you just need the third neck.
Five hundred is a good deal.

Wow! Must be great to live in Bakersfield with a selection like that. I would probably go for the double because I would feel like the triple would be wasted on me. But if I could spend the time learning another tuning, I would be sorely tempted by the triple. They look so sexy, and at my age I need all the help I can get. So, if my goal is to play music, I would get the double. If my goal was to impress people (myself included)I would get the triple. I think the best investment is the double due to the original finish. |

None of these steels are in Bakersfield or I'd allready have one of them by now. They are all on the net.
I passed on the single neck and the guy with the T-8 is trying to trade it for a single neck. I'll try to get the Dual Professional this guy is the original owner and has had it since he was 11 yrs old. Just waiting on 1 more email to finalize the deal hope it all works out.

Good luck, Mark. For my money, there's simply no more desirable instrument than a Dual Professional, and the thought of getting a single-owner one is pretty tantalizing. Great price, too. [This message was edited by Ian McLatchie on 24 May 2001 at 07:19 PM.] |

I ended up getting the refinished Triple neck 51 Fender for a great price.
15 minutes after I told the guy I'd take the triple neck I got an email from one of the guys that wanted to sell me a Single neck 8 with the stringmaster type pickups at the price I had offered him. Isnt that how it always goes? Hahaha Oh well I'll have fun with the extra necks and it looks just like Kayton Roberts steel but in perfect condition the chrome looks new and its refinished so it doesnt have any dings at all perfect!!!
Gotta break my piggy bank when it comes time for a string change now 24 strings!!![This message was edited by Mark Davis on 24 May 2001 at 10:48 PM.] |
