Hi Guys
Does anyone have any information regarding 'Andrew' Dobros. I have one, which is a beautifully made instrument, with the most delicious tiger maple back and sides and a two piece stunning tiger maple neck. It's obviously a finely made instrument, but I can't find any info on the net. It's made in Elizabethton Tennessee, and the model appears to be APM Poindexter and built in 2004.
Many thanks
Barry

My recollection is not many were built and the builder stopped due to financial issues.

I worked at Beard Guitars at the time and sold the builder some parts.

Thanks Howard
I wonder how many were made and what the general opinion of them was.
Cheers

I bought several Andrew Resos for my customers a few years ago. They were excellent. The maker was Dewey Cornett. At the time he was also making the bodies for the Morrell lap steels as well as making some of the other Morrell instruments. Andrew was Dewey's son's name, as I remember. The last information I had was 4473 Highway 19 E Elizabethton, TN 37643-7701 Phone: (423) 543-1152.

Dewey also made some very nice lap steels. Here's one I bought from him in 2006. The color was really black but looked blue in the photo from the reflection of the sky. Dewey knew how to do a beautiful high gloss finish that was like a mirror.
