Is there a book, CD or DVD that gives good instruction on the theory and practice of writing riffs and fills for backing up a vocalist? _________________ 1940 Kay bass

If I remember right, Jeff Newman had some instructional material called: "Music To Back-Up By". |

Jon, check out Ed Bickert's comping in my Paul Desmond thread. His back-up approach is brilliant. He plays harmonized scales and backup that tends to avoid the root. Our late friend Scotty wrote a book on back-up pedal steel that might still be available. _________________ Steel Guitar Books! Website: www.volkmediabooks.com |
