I like the sounds russ is getting from that delay unit he has attached to his steel. Can anybody tell me what it is he is using, and where I may be able to obtain one? Thanks a bunch!

Hey Jeff,

Check out this link http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=270077&highlight=russ+pahl

I'm no longer a member to https://www.nashvilleprosteel.com/

But Russ goes through his whole signal chain.

But if i remember correctly, the Knobs on the steel actually connect to 2 different delays on his pedal board, they were not built into his steel.

I think he does have a fuzz built into the steel though

Jeff, if I recall he is using a Strymon Timeline as his main delay.

All that said its a pretty typical delay sound. There are a huge pile of units on the market that could do that.

For cheaper fun, Danelectro (Dan-Echo, PB&J) boxes are great, maybe a couple used in series.
This one is the nazz:

From what I gather, Russ runs two cords from his guitar to the expression pedal inputs on two Line6 M5 pedals set to delays. One for runaway echo and the other for dotted quarter . Google Russ and you'll find pix of his pedalboard .
