Spotted one of these units on e-bay,interesting looking amp. A model that I must admit I was completely unfamiliar with. Appears to be roughly the same dimensions as a Session 400, equipped with a BW speaker. Anyone ever owned or used one of these? |

I have one that I bought to play multiple instruments on stage, including of course, PSG. It works very well if you accept that you will be compromising a bit on each instrument, in exchange for a single combo amp that can do a fairly good job producing lots of clean tone for up to 4 instruments.
It's very powerful and fairly heavy. Channels one and two have an effects loop. The EQ for each channel is simple treble, middle, bass and a bright switch. It has a reverb control for each channel. Plus there is a master volume and master reverb control.
I found a very good solid state Peavey tone could be obtained for PSG, particularly when using a Sarno Black Box in front of the amp. The onboard spring reverb sounds pretty good. Or one can put any digital effects pedal or rack piece into the effects loop for channels one &/or two.
I used it for a couple gigs, but have not used it now for a long time. I plan to sell mine, but just haven't got around to taking pictures, etc. _________________ It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing.

Paul..Thank you for the reply. Thought that I was fairly knowledgeable on older Peavey amps but as stated, that model was totally unfamiliar. |

A few guys around here that play two or three instruments use them. I know they are much louder that a Polytone or something. I'd have to look, but I'm pretty sure they use the famous Peavey power section. _________________ Emmons/Sho~Bud/Blanton, Fender/Peavey.

The amp says it's 210 watts rms. It has the compression circuitry like a Nashville 400. It has a 15 inch Black Widow. The cabinet is the same size as a Session 400 or Vegas 400. It sounds very much like a Nashville 400 to me. _________________ It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing. |

I used one, back in the day, when everyone carried 2 amps. I used it with a Vegas. A litte mid rangie like the Nashville 400. All in all a good amp. _________________ Bill |

Same power amp as the Nashville 400 and the Session 400 Limited. Preamps are different. |
