The awards were given out in April, and actually Dan has received plenty of recognition.
The 2015 award based on work performed in 2014 is Dan's 10th ACM Award for steel guitar going back to 2002.
I thought I recalled that Dan has won the thing multiple times and did a search on his past wins on the ACM website:
