For you archtop/Ed Schaefer fans out there, I'm reluctantly selling my 2011 Schaefer 16 archtop, created by well-known and highly respected luthier Ed Schaefer of Austin, Texas (After a 20 year career, Ed is no longer making archtops). I believe Ed is only selling his Mule Team solid body guitars at present:

Finish: Light washed cherry sunburst finish, nitrocellulose.
Materials: Solid hand-carved tiger flame maple back, sides and neck; solid hand-carved graduated spruce top; solid ebony fingerboard, solid mother-of-pearl inlays, grained ivoroid binding; solid bone nut.
Hardware: Solid ebony pickguard and tailpiece, floating Kent Armstrong humbucking pickup, Waverly 16x1 tuners, solid ebony compensated adjustable bridge, adjustable truss rod.
Neck: The neck has a gentle flat "D" profile, classic medium-jumbo frets on a solid ebony fretboard with split parallelogram inlays.
Case: Original Cedar Creek plush hardshell case in excellent condition.
Condition: Excellent. This guitar features the highest quality workmanship and materials in a gorgeous hand-carved, tap-tuned instrument.
Price: $4,175, includes shipping to the lower 48 (CONUS sales only). Pay-pal please add 3%.
NEW PRICE: $3,875 (includes shipping, Pay-pal extra).

Hi, Bill, nice to hear from you. I've found I need an archtop with no more than a 15" lower bout due to some right shoulder issues, which is the only reason I'm letting this gorgeous Schaefer go. I picked up a Sadowsky Jimmy Bruno a few months ago that seems to fit the bill for now. GAS abated for the moment. |
