I have a gorgeous National New Yorker with a 'screw-on' Amphenol style connector instead of 1/4". I don't want to replace that to keep everything all original.
I have an adapter, which works, but it sticks way out, and it a bit unwieldy. Does anyone know if this cable from Angela would work for it?

Or, can one just buy the screw-on jack and solder on to a regular guitar cable?
Thanks!

I bought a bunch of the screw-on ends and some nice guitar cables and used my trusty soldering iron. Very easy and worth the trouble. I needed several.
If you have a spare 15' cable, just buy an end. _________________ RICK ABBOTT

Thanks, Rick. That's what I prefer, but where does one find those ends? I can find the ready-made cables, but seem to have a hard time finding the ends. Is there an 'official' name for them? Thanks!

Elderly also carries pre-made cables, I think. _________________ "The Masher of Touch and Tone"

I bought mine from Angela Instruments. You could try Antique Electronics in Arizona.
I'll go get a link... _________________ RICK ABBOTT
