Is it just me, or is the verse structure, chord sequence and melody of "Crying Steel Guitar" almost note for note identical to "Sweet Memories"?
Has anyone else noticed any other "sound-alikes"? _________________ Williams 700 series keyless U12,

Then of course, there's the Chiffon's "He's So Fine...vs. George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord"
I still add doo-lang, doo-lang, doo-lang when My Sweet Lord comes on the radio 😊 _________________ Clinesmith consoles D-8/6 5 pedal, D-8 3 pedal & A25 Frypan, Pettingill Teardrop, & P8 Deluxe. |

A lot of Chuck Berry songs.
I was watching a CB concert on TV a while back, and when Chuck finished his solo even he couldn't remember what song he was playing ![Shocked](images/smiles/icon_eek.gif) |

Wagon Wheel sure seems like Willing.
There was an instrumental on a Chet Atkins album which bore such a strong resemblance to one written by Mike Auldridge (sorry, I've forgotten which one), released on one of his earlier solo albums, that Harry Fox (or somebody) diverted the royalties without any intervention on the part of Mike or his publisher. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Thanks guys, I guessed there'd be a few. I remember the lawsuit about "My Sweet Lord".
Does anybody agree about the first two tracks though? - Crying Steel Guitar, and Sweet Memories? _________________ Williams 700 series keyless U12,
