As a teacher I know it is nice to get some positive feedback from your students once in a while.
Brad Sarno is teaching us here a lot, not only if you are a user of his products, but also because he likes to help people.

Today I finally applied one of his rules; “keep the dry signal path as analogue as possible”

I was running my MX200 in the fx loop of my Mesa Studio pre. The MX200 died and I recently bought a M-One XL. That was upgrade number one.
Brad nowhere said that the Lexicon is a lesser quality unit, he simply states that the TC unit is very good and boy is he right!

This week I ran across a simple small second hand Edirol M-10mx (analogue mixer and discontinued) so now I had the opportunity to free my dry signal of the AD/DA stages of the M-One
The Mesa has two sets of outputs. One set (recording) goes straight into the mixer the other set goes to the M-One and only the wet signal also goes tot the mixer. The other free input of the mixer gets my IPod or my Mac and the mixer also has a headphone output.
When I put those headphones on for the first time tonight, I could not believe the difference in pure audio quality and guitar-tone!

The next thing to do is obviously to use the now free fx loop for my Hilton VP and run the steel straight into the Mesa (another of Brads teachings)

The pocket size mixer was only €25, but what an impact it had.

There is a Revelation for sale in Holland, suddenly I am interested

Well...we all know that Brad is an expert in both electronics and sound. He has blessed all of us with a plethora of information with a primay goal of helping us to become better educated and informed. He is amazingly versed in the ability to explain his vast knowledge to where most anyone can understand it and the methods he uses to arrive at his conclusions.

Certainly sounds like an excellent educator to me! I know we all value Brad and many of us have sought advice from him. Myself included!!!!

Thanks Brad for all you've done to help us!
Dave
