I am a big fan of the old country-rock stuff, like the New Riders of the Purple Sage, Gram Parsons,Poco, PPL, etc. I have always liked the Bakersfield-Austin sound more than the Nashville sound, and here is a great example of the Austin sound at its finest. Love the steel, especially the tone. Not sure who the player is, but from the tone, I'm gonna guess & say he was playing a PP through a Twin Reverb. But I could be wrong.

Nunn recorded this song on his 1994 lp Roadtrip. He used John Hughey on steel on that album.

He released another cd in 1996 called "Under My Hat" using the Forum's own Ricky Davis on steel.

One song in particular on that cd is entitled "Something Monumental." Ricky does a real nice intro and break on this song.
