Hi Lonnie, I am pushing 71. I no longer play gigs as such. About 99% of my playing is for nursing homes and alzheimer units. I am playing a Hawaiian gig for seniors this week, a repeat of last year, and I will play a 2 hour session of all steel music for a State Fair this month. This will be my fifth time for the Fair. I play a total of 2 to 4 times per week. I have no intention of quitting until I absolutely have too, or the people can't stand me anymore and start booing or hissing.
I am still having too much fun!

Jay,

Isn't Jimmy Waters in his 80's? He still plays every week....

He does a fine job..he just can't carry that Twin Reverb anymore his bandmates help him out with that.

Tim,
since I have been off the streets for so long I can't recall how old Jimmie might be.
He surely is 30 years older than when I last saw him.
