I have just installed new Cts pots and the tone pot doesn't work. This has happened to me every time I wire a guitar. I have the cap inline and wired correctly Any ideas ?

Do you have it grounded? There are a couple different ways to wire a cap and tone pot, but in either, the cap needs a path to ground to bleed off the signal. Here is a basic diagram from Seymour Duncan that should help. http://cdn.seymourduncan.com/pdfs/support/schematics/1phat1v1t.pdf
