When I installed my LKL it is connected to the cross shaft with rod with ball joint connectors. I put the stop next to the cross shaft. The other night I was practicing and hit the LKL and pulled the rod out of the plastic connector. Oops! So I'm thinking I need the stop on the lever and not on the cross shaft. Evidently the plastic ball joints are not meant to withstand that much pull!! _________________ 1967 Emmons Bolt On, 1995 Mullen PRP 3x5,Nashville 112, JOYO Digital Delay, Goodrich Volume Pedal, Livesteel Strings |

I always try to get the "L"-stop behind the Lever. Also that is where a lot of brackets break is the bracket holding the lever; or they get bent or the weld(if there is one)starts to give a little and NONE of that will happen if you actually "STOP" the lever you are pushing with your knee.
Here's a later model I did many years ago and you can see most the levers are stopped behind the lever.

Thanks Ricky. I wish I had thought of this when I was putting it together. Now I will have 2 more unnecessary holes in the bottom! But it is what it is. I guess hind sight is 20/20. _________________ 1967 Emmons Bolt On, 1995 Mullen PRP 3x5,Nashville 112, JOYO Digital Delay, Goodrich Volume Pedal, Livesteel Strings |

Jason, did that plastic ball joint break where the rod threads into it? Mine did years ago, and I did a quick fix, and it will never come apart again. I took a standard 3/8" nut, and I don't remember if I had to file a little off the threads, or not, and I screwed it onto the plastic ball joint. It has never come apart again. I know looking at it, it is not the professional way to do it, but it works. Ronnie
PS. I am happy with the wide pedals, thanks. _________________ Sho-Bud LDG, Martin D28, Ome trilogy 5 string banjo, Ibanez 4-string bass, dobro, fiddle, and a tubal cain. Life Member of AFM local 142 |

yes. the rod pulled completely out of the threads. It stripped the threads out of the plastic connector. No worries though. I just moved the stop and replaced the connector so it should not be a problem again. Glad the pedals are working out for you. _________________ 1967 Emmons Bolt On, 1995 Mullen PRP 3x5,Nashville 112, JOYO Digital Delay, Goodrich Volume Pedal, Livesteel Strings |
