We have lost a genius in music, sound, touch, tone, and inovations. Big "E" will NEVER be replaced.Every player in the world draws from Buddy's ideas and style from their tunings to the pedal arrangments and knee levers.
The first I heard him "live" was at Earth City, Mo. He was using an Echoplex, a Session 400 and a Push Pull. I can still hear every note in my head today some 40 years later. WHAT a PLAYER!!! I had the pleasure of booking him on his last show performance at the Civic Center in Benton, Il. I truly believe the steel guitar world will never be the same. May he rest in peace....Bobby
