Good Morning all..

I just returned from Cookeville TN to take delivery of my new Prestige D10 and to have Gary work on my 12 String. 1433 miles in 2 days!!!!

The guitar is great and it was a pleasure to watch Gary work on the 12 String. Gary is a true Artisan in every sense of the work and is a perfectionist.

The guitars are amazing; tone to the bone and sustain that lasts forever. Not mention how easy they play. Thanks Gary for all the work you put into your guitars.

One of our goals was to have a Mica guitar that appears to have a lacquer finish. I was floored seeing how good looking this Mica is.

The 12 String

DG,

It is the JCH Fretboard. Gary and Jimmie were good friends and has gotten permission to use his design. More details on the website.

Ron

We never 100% sure of the delivery date. It sounds amazing.

Both guitars are beautiful - I really like the Mica/wood appearance on the double neck. Smile

That D-10 mica is about the slickest thing I think I've seen in some time around here. Man!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I knew that the guitar was going to black and wanted to achieve something tasteful and practical. This color combination filled the bill.

Hope to have something up to listen to in the near future.

Bit by auto correct. What I meant to say was that I knew that the guitar was NOT going to be black and really liked the looks of Tommy Alexander's lacquered Rittenberry. This Mica did the trick for me.

I’m with you Jay... I keep coming back to look at Mark’s guitar... from the pictures I’d never believe that the top is Mica... that’s as realistic a look to actual wood as I’ve seen... They don’t get much nicer than this.

Mark,
that was a cool move, almost duplicated, other than the color.
The guitar looks like it was real lacquer; really looks good.
You got to be proud for this one!

I have seen and heard Mark's new D-10. The pictures really do not do it justice. It is absolutely gorgeous and sounds amazing. I think Gary outdid himself this time.

Anyone have a knowledgable comparison of Ritt Prestige tone and sustain to that of Zumsteel late models, and Mullen G2? On the horizon for me is a loaded SD12 extended E9, love the Zum big sound, but with Bruce no longer making loaded steels, I'm contemplating other brands as well as a late model pre-owned Zum.

Thanks in advance. And sound samples most welcome.

Does the Prestige have a 3R/3L changer? Built-in splits screws?

Mark used to have a Zum as well as a G2. He'd be the one to ask!
