Think of them as N.O.S. (new old stock) push-pulls. Ron Lashley Jr and crew made 16 total "reissues" (S10's and D10's) out of original (unused) cabinets and parts starting in 2004(?). The only major difference from an original push-pull are the LeGrande style keyheads and pedals. Here's my S10 originally owned by Lynn Stafford who had the first S10 and D10 reissues.

Who's got the black lacquer S-10 that was on the website for quite a while?
I wish I had been able to buy it at the time.
A lot of those bodies were kind of rough.... |

ser. #015RI-MC is a birdseye maple body, maple wood neck ST-12 5x7 guitar which I built a few years ago for a client in Hawaii. Ser.# 016RI-MC is a black mica S-10, aluminum wraparound neck, 3x4 guitar I built around the same time for another client. I have pics I think, bit would have to obtain the owners' permission first to post. There are at least several more bearing my stamp but Im challenged right now to remember any details.
btw, the key to each reissue guitars' builder lies in the ser.#: RTL=Ronald T. Lashley, DF=Dana Flood, DP=Doug Palmer, MC=Mike Cass.
Hope this helps.

Is my memory failing me, or wasn't there a run of PP's made in 1989 (25th anniversary) that were on display at ISGC one of those years? I'm pretty sure it was 1989. I recall one D-10 green lacquer that had gorgeous airbrush work on the front apron.
The guitars were both D-10s and S-10s built on PP bodies discovered by Big Ron, I think about a dozen of them. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

youre correct Herb, we built some mica guitars as well, think Robbie Turner got one. Herb, please call me: 615-446-5952.
Mike K., is it a D-10 or S-10? My guess is Dana Flood judging from the D unless its a dbl neck, then perhaps Ronny. We refined the re-issue # system after the first several guitars. If my memory serves me, I built #4 and/or assembled and shipped a good number of them from then on. btw, we still offer new, not re-issue GS-10's if anyone is interested....
