How much longer will it be before Sierra reopens? I have waited so patiently for so many months for some parts.

If nothing happens soon, my Sierra artist is consigned to ebay and I will look in the Carter direction. It is very frustrating to invest good money in something only to find that ther company goes bankrupt and parts become unavailable.

Perhaps there should be a law mandating that when these outfits go bankrupt they should keep parts on hand for at least ten years. I think that it should be part of their bankrupcy settlement.

I thought there was a 10 yr mandatory "parts" law already. Has that been rescinded also?

The Sierra Shop is being set up outside of Portland (in Mollala, I believe). I have not talked to Tom personally, but I still have not lost faith, yet...Alan

I spoke with Tom Baker yesterday.
They are very close to opening for business.
Tom has been busy putting the shop together (a huge task in-and-of itself) and making parts for various models of both pedal and non-pedal steels.
Tom has also been pushing through all the details associated with opening a new business including setting up purchasing/shipping accounts, business licences, etc.
As some might say, the devil is in the details!
I'm confident that it'll all be worth the wait.
