The family of Steel Guitar World publisher Russ Rask has donated the last remaining inventory of Steel Guitar World Magazine to the Forum. It's not a complete collection - there are only 17 issues, ending in 1995, with gaps.
Steel Guitar World was the heartbeat of the world-wide steel guitar community in the 1990's, much as the forum is today. Looking through these issues, I was struck by how many of the contributors are still active forum members. There are lots of interesting ads, too.
We're selling these in the Steel Guitar Forum Store for the 1990's cover price (no inflation!), but unfortunately we have to charge today's postage rates. Here's the link:

That is awesome b0b,
Never got to meet Russ, but here he was quite a fella. I have quite a few of those from the early '90's, and you are right, quite a few interesting articles. If you have issue#13 from 1994, check out article of the Debary Steel Guitar Jam. There is also an awesome interview with Larry Sasser and a very moving story of Maurice Anderson and MSA. Check it out if you have the chance.

The Lloyd Green article written by Dr. James Stewart is also an awesome story in issue # 21 from 1995.
Check it out also if given the chance.

I wrote back and forth and talked with Russ over the phone several times. he worked very hard to keep the mag going and it was so valuable a resource.
I subscribed to all of his issues #1 through number 42. I think 42 was the last issue.
David would you confirm how many issues Russ put out?

I have the complete set of 42 and often look back through them.
I always seems to find something new or forgot.
They are a treasure. Grab them now. _________________ Private one on one lessons available

Some of the magazines have sold out. Just a reminder - when they're gone, they're gone. As far as I know, this is the last remaining stock of these in the world. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

These remaining magazines are only $5.50 or $6.00 each minus postage. Can one even buy a quality magazine that cheaply today? Buy the seven different issues bob has and save on postage. Cozy up by the fire and enjoy them. Stevet |

Folks....
I've just checked my stash of old magazines and I find that, while I don't have them all, I have 'doubles' of SGW numbers 33 and 42.
I also have spare copies of Tom Bradshaw's 'Steel Guitarist' magazines - issues 1,2,3 and 4.
This is not meant to compete with b0b but to see these spare copies go to a good home. So, cover my postage and donate something to the Forum and they're yours. _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, B-bender Teles and Martins - and, at last, a Gibson Super 400!
