I recently was at the HSGA show in Ft. Collins and heard a very soulful version of Beyond the Reef. When I got home, I took out my six string lap steel, and this arrangement just flowed out. I'm using my C6th's high G tuning for this one. Hope you enjoy it.

Made me feel good to listen to this, Chuck. I also like the background arrangement. Thanks! _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |

Enjoyed your playing & the version. Would you tell us about that Frypan in the picture & the amp you use with it? Is that what you are using in Beyond the Reef?

Thanks, Guys. I'm glad you like the arrangement. Don, I'm using an old Ricky Frypan, just six strings. For this recording, I went direct into my computer and added some reverb and delay to the mix. |

I believe that song to be one of my most favorite Hawaiian songs, together with Harbor Lights.
Very nice! |
