Today I dismantled my early 50's Fender Dual 8 Professional. Someone thought it would be a great idea to paint it red and although I like red,It was a really bad job on it. They didn't paint the bottom so I am going to try to match the finish on the bottom. The front neck had a bad pockup, so I sent it to my good friend andpickup Guru,Dave at Budz guitars. He did a wonderful job on it! So I'm going tostart my process on this thread. I do need a spaghetti Fender decal for the front of the guitar, so if anybody knows where I might find one, let me know!
Spent today stripping red paint and primer.Sanding and sealing tomorrow. Oh yeah!!

that should be a fun project...IF I ever found one in really bad shape that I figured i couldnt mess up any worse than it was already in, hahaa
anyway, I got a decal from steel guitars of Nashville when Bobbye Symoure owned it, may he rest in peace.
\might give them a try. Good luck and have fun with your project. _________________ Zum Encore, Remington D8 non pedal, Hallmark Mosrite clone, Gretsch 6120 DSW, Gretsch G5210T-P90 Electromatic Jet Two 90,1976 Ibanez L5, Eastman archtop, Taylor Dreadnaught, Telonics pedal, Squire Tele, Squire Strat, Fender Tonemaster, Gold Tone 5 string banjo, Little Wonder tenor banjo, 3 Roland cubes 30s and 80, Carvin combo bass amp |
