Hey forumites.
I have a friend who is inquiring about running a Sarno V8 preamp in to the power section of a Nashville 1-12
I believe I read somewhere that this has been done before.
Can anyone chime in on this as to whether they did this and did it improve the tone of the 1-12.
I own a V8 but I run it into Furlong powered cabinets so I really cant answer the players question as to any NV 1-12 tone improvement.
Thanks

Ray..I was using this setup for a while until I purchased a powered speaker cab, the improvement in tone is most impressive. |

Hi David.
Thanks for the reply.
When using the V 8, did you have plenty of volume using the NV 1-12 as the power section?
I can't imagine why the combination of the two would not make an improvement in the overall sound.
Thanks

Ray...Needed to boost the volume slightly, but still had enough for most small to medium venues. In situations where more volume is needed and you are running through the P.A.,if the Octal has the XLR out feature you can simply patch that into the board and use the '112' as a personal monitor. |
