For sale late 70s MSA Universal XL 7x5.1,900$ Steel just got tune up by forumite Dave O'brien and new case by K. Hatton. Standard Newman pedal setup. It is tobacco sunburst, rock maple body and also has had Wallace TT pickup installed. Original was crazy microphonic. I just picked up a little GS10 push pull and am going back to my Legrande D10. Had to get rid of one, dont really want 3 steels in my little music room. Think I am going back to D10 and using GS10 for pickup gigs. Hate to sell but just dont need 2 big rigs. Not about to sell Legrande so the MSA has to go.

These are great guitars. I own 2 of them and they both sound terrific. IMHO the lacquer MSAs' are among the best all-pull steels made.
Don't miss out on a great U12 at a great price!

| Thanks Mike. btw,I had to put quite a lot into it to get it back to snuff. Had to ship it off to get overhauled. Springs were shot, aluminum parts had to be replaced, pickup was totally shot, reconfigured pedals to more standard setup, new pedal rods, plus I had custom Hatton case with wheels made. Not happy to be selling it but want to put money into my little GS10 push pull. I need something super light and portable. |

I bought a similar model 1.5 years ago (mine's red - 8/5 universal) and it is a great guitar. You will not be disappointed if you buy this one.

Quentin, I think it was in the early '80s. Maurice told me there were only 6 of these made with this type changer and color scheme.

| Looks kind of like an mci changef from this angle. Their new studio pro's still use the changer block supports just like they did in the 70's. |
