This is one clean amp with string separation to die for. Lynn did put a Telonics speaker in the cabinet, sounds terrific. He was using his JCH, does not get much better than that.

What's the rough difference between the Teleonics and the Eminence?

I have two cabs with 15" Eminence EPS speakers. I did have a Telonics in one of them, but although they both sounded very good, I preferred, [just slightly,] the sound of the Eminence. As I recall, the Telonics was priced a little lower than the Eminence at that time. I do have a Telonics pickup and volume pedal. [The Telonics speaker is also made by Eminence]

I've got the "Pro" model Quilter, so the cabinet is a bit larger and deeper than the standard Steelaire Combo. Larry and I did an A-B comparison between the two amp models and noticed a tonal difference favoring the Pro model. I then hooked up one of my Telonics cabs (loaded with the Telonics speaker) and we were both impressed with what seemed to be a more defined mid range of the Telonics speaker. I decided to replace the stock Quilter (made by Eminence) in my Quilter speaker with a spare Telonics I happen to have. So far, I like this amp a lot! The warmth along with the string separation is unbelievable.
