Someone had a GFI guitar for sale on the Forum that he stated had one of these pickups installed. The seller also said this was somewhat of an experimental model, but had positive things to say about the unit and the pickup. |

I had a pickup on a Sho~Bud that used a 9 volt battery. It sounded great. I think it was an EMG.

Gene Turner make the Power Boost Pickups. He has made lots of pickups and makes special replacement pickups for ZB guitars and most other makes. They are single coil models and are precision wound with taps for selecting the tone you want. Gene also built his own equipment for winding and poting. He has built me some pickups for the new Dowd Guitar which will be out soon. If you want to call Gene his telephone # is 270-247-5876. These are not production pickups but are custom made to your needs. |
