A friend recently brought my attention to the name of Benny Barnes and two nice country songs:

BENNY BARNES ON STARDAY "POOR MAN'S RICHES"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4YU17fa-RI

and

"THE LAST MESSAGE"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmD7dT-NLfw

Can anybody give me information on who the steel player(s) is please.

Thank you folks

George

Supposed to be Herb Remington on both.

From 1956/57.

Poor Man's Riches was something of a hit and his best known song, but The Last Message was unreleased until a few years ago.

He was really a stylist and had a crack band on those sessions.
