A nice treat to find myself sandwiched between Johnny Hartman and Wes Montgomery on the "Desert Island Jazz" program, on WHFC 91.1 FM out of Maryland. Couldn't ask for better company (especially since they were playing my recording of Montgomery's "Far Wes") Thanks to Dave May at WHFC-FM for the support!

Congratulations Jim! You certainly deserve the recognition.
I eagerly await your next jazz album and hope it will include another multi-artist track in addition to your own fine playing. What a great idea.
All the best,
Bob |

WHFC-FM "get's it"! They understand good programming.
By the way, if any of you visit middle Georgia, here's a list of steel players that are aired every day in normal rotation on Starstation 100.7. . . another station that is happy to play Jim Cohen.
Gary Carter
Buddy Charleton
Jim Cohen
Jimmy Crawford
Buddy Emmons
Santo & Johnny Farina
Sonny Garrish
Lloyd Green
Doug Jernigan
Jim Loessberg
Buck Reid
Herby Wallace
Before you ask. . . No, it's not a country station. Far from it, it's adult standards, Sinatra, Nat King Cole, James Taylor, Celine Dion and all of the talented steel players who fit right in beautifully. Who ever heard of a country station that plays Doug Jernigan everyday? Incidentally, the station receives tons of compliments regarding the music selection.
Sincerely,

You're certainly welcome. Some people just love to hang on to another's coat tail. Jim, once the other players found out your CD was being aired, they all wanted to get on board.
