I met Terry in Richmond,Va.at a Chris Young show.He came out and talked for about 30 minutes. He is a prince of a guy. He answered all my dumb questions.I really enjoyed his company.Gary _________________ JCH/SD10 ,ZUM,D10 ,Rosewood Emmons Push Pull,T8 Fender Stringmaster.Nashville and Session 400,Walker Stereo Steel,Boss Katana 100 and John Hughey's Vegas 400.Hilton Pro Delay,Telonics Volume Pedal, Steelers Choice Seat,Live Steel Strings. |

His ride on Joe Nichols rendition of Farewell Party was terrific . _________________ Emmons Legrande II D-10 ,Nashville 112, Goodrich L 120, Lil' Izzy, a homemade seat, delay pedal, BJS bar, Dunlop .013, and a red thumb pick |

I just listened to Terry's ride on the Joe Nicholls version of Farewell Party. Great. Very similar to the ride by Jimmy Day on the Johnny Bush version a long time ago.

Yea ,Billy, he may have been influenced by Jimmy Day on that . Anyone know what string, pedal, lever combo Terry hit on the first note of the intro to Farewell Party ? I haven't found the chord he gets yet . I'll have to catch Cris Young the next time he's close by . Tony if it's in E? I think it is. Play strings 4 and 5 at the 8th fret. Lower string 4 1/2 step. and raise 5 a full step. Slide back to fret 7, and release the knee that lowers 4.

I could listen to Terry play anytime.
Bobby, is Terry younger than you? I'm sure y'all hung out together. Rocket says there's some tapes out there of you and Toy playing together. That's cool, right there! |
