The Boss RV-3 is still used by many for a small and easy to use pedal.
I like it on small amps and the DD-20 is super good for delay only.

| Had both the Boss RV3 and the Behringer clone, and believe it or not, preferred the Behringer over the Boss. Although it was meant to be a close copy, found the Behringer to be more tweakable (is that a legitimate word?) The Behringer has since retired to our practice space however and has been replaced with an Earthquaker 'Dispatcher' pedal. Some users state that this unit has an annoying "tail" to the reverb, but have not noticed that personally. |

the dr-400 is a decent reverb and delay
I use a rv-3 but I have in the past used the dr-400
the effects are nice but I found the unit to be
a little hissy with white noise its not bad
real bad but its there

I have a Boss DD-6 and DD-3 both Korean built. For some reason the DD-3 sound more tinny than the DD-6. The DD-6 fits my bright and clean sound just fine but I refuse to use the DD-3. I don't know if that is typical but it is my experience. Note - unfortunately or fortunately, I'm not a pro.

| The Wampler Faux Analog Delay and Earthquake Dispatch-Master are both amazing delay pedals. Both are a bit spendy, but very luscious sounding. |

The MXR Carbon Copy is just about bulletproof. I have several analog delays and they all do good job (I have multiple pedalboards for different uses).
Buy my normal setup is to use TWO analog delays set to different speeds and repeats, and no spring reverb. Spring reverb only works on the high frequencies (except the old outboard under unit and reissues) - delay covers the whole frequency response.
The wound is far warmer and more natural sounding when ever is removed and dual-delays used.
