A beautiful song that goes way back. I do it here 3/4 time in solo chord melody style. Nice way to play when you get the hang of it. Hope it is of interest. Link..............

I can't explain the pleasure I get from listening to your latest post. Truly a remarkable sense of styling and a fabulous touch and string selection.

THANK YOU once again for sharing with us.

Everything Ray said and more. Lovely to hear some chord melody on E9th. Lots of emotion in your performance. Looking forward to more of this. Sez

This is an original Solo that incorporates the chord melody only this one is in 4/4 time. It reverts to a few bars of Fingerstyle to examplify the versatility of E9th Pedal steel.

Thanks Ray and Sez and my best to both of you.

Roy, really enjoy your chord structure and pedal/KL use, smooth as can be. The finger style on the second song is priceless. Great tone on two songs that are numbers I haven't heard on steel prior to this.
Thanks

The song was a minor hit for the Sons of The Pioneers in the late 40's. I believe that it was written by Tim Spencer.

What a great song, very delicately done Roy.

I first became aware of this song from Tom Morrell Vol 7 "how the west was swung" but I much prefer your E9 version Roy. Very tasteful.
