I have a Sho Bud LDG and the tuning pegs are tight and hard to turn. Any advice on loosening them? Also the pedals are a bit stiff and are a little hard to push? Thanks for your help.

For your tight tuning machines,in the "New Products Announcements", there is device called, "The Cobra Coil 2 in 1 Tuning Wrench". It has a notch in the end of the turning handle, that fits over the tuning peg. It's designed to be chucked into a variable speed drill. Perhaps turning the tuning machine with a drill, for ten or fifteen seconds, will loosen it up. (With the string off, of course.)I'd be a little cautious about turning them too fast. It might be helpful if you could get a little oil in the gears, first. -Jake- |

I have no expertise on this, but it might depend on what make of tuners they are. |

Sometimes the screw that holds the "knob" on them gets too tight. Also, have you checked the little coller that holds the key in the key head?
I'm going to guess they are Grover tuners? _________________ Emmons/Sho~Bud/Blanton, Fender/Peavey.
