Although I know a couple steel players who don't play 6 string, most of you do, & if you're like me, started on regular guitar or bass. I was a rocker till the early 70s when I heard the New Riders & Buddy Cage & I was hooked from that moment on. Here are a few of my axes.[img][/img]

It's got 12 strings but it's my usual weapon of choice when not steelin'

I only use this one live on special occasions but it's my favourite and my go-to studio guitar.

Where would I start? This was a few years ago, and this wasn't near all of them. Some of these are gone and others have taken their places. I am gradually selling off my collection though, I play very little anymore.

Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro.

That's some impressive craftsmanship, Per.

I'm mostly just a "living room" guitar player but I've had this nice pair of old guitars for a good many years. Mid-60s Epiphone and late 50s National.

I just sold this old Harmony Rocket to our guitar player - he likes it better than his Gretsch!

I have gotten rid of half my guitar herd as they were just grazing and not getting milked. I have all the Squier Classic Vibe tele's, 2 benders (Parson and B&W), an Epiphone archtop and a few basses, mandos, fiddles, 8 string dobro and a real nice maple top Rhondo LP copy guitar that just looks pretty. Got them on stands and this slatwall system:
