Not in most cases Daniel,
Here is why. There are standard changes that most players use. However some put these changes in different places.
Example: instead of lowering the E's on LKR, a few might do it on RKL. Etc, etc. But the chord is the same.
It was thought for a long time (and some still believe it) that there will never be a standard. I disagree totally on this. While it is true, we will always have a miniscule few who cut their own paths, we are approaching a definite standard closer and closer every year.
In fact, MOST of what manufacturer's ship is the same. Again, a few want it setup differently. But in most cases the standard is what is shipped.
I think it is a blessing. I can't imagine a piano or a flute or sax etc, being built where the white and black keys or the holes all do different things.
Time will prove (or disprove) all thesisees, and you raised a good question Daniel
