Aloha,
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement pickup selector cover, (plastic piece covering the tip of the selector switch) for my D6 Fender Stringmaster? I thought I had the right ones, but it turns out that I do not. It doesn't matter to me whether they are round or the "top hat" variety...I just need something that will fit nicely.

Howzit Dave,
You mean the neck selector switch? The knob for the Telecaster works. Strat too. I got some lying around somewhere if you can't find in town.

Aloha Jeff...THAT'S what it's called! I tried getting some from EBay, but they didn't fit...even though from what I had read, the Tele ones would work. I haven't looked in town yet, but if I can't find anything her in Hilo I'll let you know. Mahalo...

It may be that the tip of your switch is broken off... any of the top-hat, strat, tele, whatever tips should fit. Guitar Center has all the tips and replacement switches, Fender-branded.

Switch tips for Telecasters come in more than one size - the switches used in some of them, including Squiers and many other Tele style guitars use switches that are slightly smaller.

Make sure you get one that would fit an original 50's Tele (probably described as Vintage American style or something like that).
