Guys, I purchased this late model Rittenberry last week from another member and its a beauty with tone for days! But, circumstances have changed recently so I need to offer it back up. It plays stiffer than I like which isn't a problem to adjust. I just prefer a super light smooth travel. There is a place on the white part of the top fretboard that has light scraping near the 2nd fret. I tried to capture it in the pics but it doesn't look bad. It looks like someone placed these fretboards over the originals and tried to pull it up in that one place. This guitar has amazing tone and sustain and we all know Gary builds one of the finest steels ever made as well as always willing to help with anything an owner needs. Standard Emmons setup with re-issue 705's. Come with a very nice like new Justice case. The photos were taken with my phone and they don't do the Ritt justice. It is all polished chrome and shines amazingly well.
$3000 plus actual shipping.
Thanks,
Dave

Guys, I will get some better pics up this evening to show the accurate condition and color of the guitar.
On another note, I may have mislead a few by my over stating a couple issues. Its my nature to be as honest as possible about anything I sell. The fretboard issue is VERY minor and not noticeable when initially looking at it. I will try to capture well and post the pic. The stiff playing issue is just an adjustment issue that I will correct before it leaves here. It may play just fine for some. Just not for me in the current setup.I will adjust the pedals this weekend. The knees are just fine for me. There was also a question about the number of owners. The history of this guitar is that a local player non forum member purchased it new in 2010, decided he wanted an SD-10, had Gary build him one and had member Daniel Cormier list it for sale on the forum. David Nugent purchased it and a few years later sold it because he had too many guitars. Danny Sherban purchased it last year for $2850 plus shipping and installed new 705's in it. He listed it for $3200 and I offered him $3000 plus shipping and he accepted that. So I have $3076 in the guitar. I don't care for my integrity to be called into question or someone to insinuate there is an issue with this guitar. We all know Gary builds a fine guitar and this one is no exception. As I stated, I will go through and adjust the pedals for my liking and ensure its playing as it should. Hope this clears up any questions regarding the origin and history of this fine guitar and clears up any pricing questions.
Thanks for those that have expressed interest.

David my friend, I don't think there is any need here for you explain yourself, this is obviously a wonderful guitar in beautiful condition, and worth every penny you are asking for.....if I was selling this same guitar, I would post a picture, and $3800 price tag under it... _________________ www.steelguitarsonline.com |

Mike, thanks for the kind words Buddy! I'm still using both of the pedals and they sound great!
Damir, thanks! I have nothing to hide and it was only one member who was questioning the issues. He was nice but seemed to be implying I was hiding something and that the guitar, at least to him, is worth far less than I'm asking since there are so many issues with it.
Dan, you are a very fine honest member and you are correct! This is one great sounding Ritt. I happened to find another guitar that I really wanted the same day we made the commitment on your Ritt. I couldn't go back on our deal which I'm very happy with. So now I'm in the dilemma of which to try to part with. The Ritt lost in the coin toss!
Thanks for the positive comments my friend.

Looks like the clear vinyl coating sheet might still be on the RB on the fretboards. I found one on my Excel's fretboard by accident. Had a scratch and bubble near the 2nd fret, removed the vinyl and bang clear/clean as a bell. Peels right off and under it looks new! Nice guitar! |

Steve...You will be purchasing one of the finest steel guitars being built today in my opinion, it certainly served me well...I also have dealt with Dave over the years both as a seller and buyer and all transactions were most satifactory. |
