I'm still using my old ACE seat that I purchased back in the late 1970's or early 1980's.

I've had the seat cushion recovered once.

Still going strong and very comfy.

Lee,
I purchased mine in that same time frame and it still looks like new. Never been recovered or anything done to it. The cushion is just as good as the day I got it, and I am hard on cushions. I wear a long leg brace and the top cuff really digs into the cushion on a seat or chair. I don't know what kind of foam was used at ACE at that time but it was some super stuff.

I've still got mine, bought from Steve Lamb at Steel City Music in Fort Worth in the 80's if I remember right. This is still how it looks, although I've 'retired' it for a bit newer packseat. I think I'll drag it out and redo the upholstery. I actually like the leg/locking mechanism on this ACE better than the one I have now.

Oh yeah, rocks were not included originally, I added those.

Bill your seat looks about like mine did. I don't know how many times I spilled the contents of mine after a gig because of that single latch. Tried to sale mine in the rough but there was no interest. Wonder why, LOL

Yep, that latch broke once on me too. I repaired it with a finishing nail or some other hillbilly engineering, I forget.. been good to go since.

Mine actually looks better in the pic than it really is.. Smile
