I have a Martin 000-28 that was custom made last year. It has a sunburst finish and comes with a Fishman Ellipse Aura pickup installed. Also comes with all software to connect the pickup to your computer and change presets within the pickup. Comes with the original hardshell case. A beautiful guitar. I am wanting to trade to an Emmons D-10 or something compatible. Let me know what you have. Thanks so much! |

Hello Stephen! When I say custom, I mean this is not a regular production model. Due to mainly the color, but it also has forward shifted bracing. Which I am told, that it gives it a much deeper tone. With that being said, I could have gotten one with a regular non sunburst top pretty quickly, but I had to wait a couple months for this guitar. I was in direct contact with the Martin company throughout the whole build. I hope this helps and answers your question. Thanks! |

Two of my Martins, a D-18 and an HD-28, have sunburst tops. Martin is about to figure out how to paint a decent 'burst. Yours is a beauty, for sure. |

Usually a 'Custom Shop' guitar will carry an in-sequence serial # but not a model #.
I have a 2004 000-28 which I love. I ordered it because I didn't like certain things about the standard production 000-28 - too-modern machines, black pickguard, and the bright gold maker's name on the headstock. Martin advised me to start with the Eric Clapton model as a 'platform' but to opt for none of the odds and ends that identified it as an EC (I hate the notion of 'signature' guitars.
Mine is a delight and the only thing about it I don't like is that it doesn't have '000-28' on the heel-block. Maybe this one doesn't either. _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, Quilter TT-12 & TT-15, B-bender Teles and Martins - and, at last, a Gibson Super 400!
