I'll put my little $79 Rogue up against a $2000 Revelation any day...............
I installed a humbucker and made a steel nut and bridge for it too.
Anyone be interested in mine for $3500? _________________ I have stuff.
I try to make music with it.
Sometimes it works.
Sometimes it doesn't.
But I keep on trying. |

Nope its a lie about how many he sold. I noticed the number of items sold increased and decreased within a short space of time to trick people into thinking an idiot actually bought it.
The seller is dishonest and I reported it to eBay last time and he has now reposted under a different name. _________________ Stefan

Some Investigating exposed this:
I check the feedback of some of the purchases from "genuine customers" and WHOA guess what happened.
The user feedback was also a match for the product title.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Martin-Acoustic-Guitar-Strings-12-String-Set-Light-Cheapest-On-Ebay-LOOK-/290746049382
from the same Company??? How is this possible?
BEWARE
The company is a manufacturer in CHINA who produce, Distribute and Review their own products. To deceive people.
I know no one on the forum will fall for it but pass the message on in case a potential Lap Steel Guitar newbie you know has more dollars than cents.
ALSO eBay review have become tainted over the recent years with companies fronting as legitimate customers buying their own product. Some even go as far as creating fake profiles just to review their own items. Not the first to do it but just beware.
I will repost on my Blog. _________________ Stefan

Keep reporting people like this directly to eBay. That's the only way this sort of thing will go away.
I pity any unsuspecting person who thinks they're getting some sort of deal. It only takes one. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

Steve and Stefan, thanks for posting this information. Stefan, very cool investigative work.
Bill, sorry but not everything made in China is junk. If you've never tried an Eastman guitar made in Beijing you might be pleasantly surprised about the quality given the price. They are sold in the US. |

Unsuspecting is the word Brad, there are though individuals who are starting out with steel guitar, and know little about them, and as is the case here there is a duty for those who do know to highlight and protect such individuals if they can, this sort of thing happens all the time with rip off uk. where Rickenbacker Bakelite Steels on offer for over £4.000
and you can then add a large postage cost, in this
country it happens all the time, there are no bargains here, I watched an old Dobro here in a Plymouth second hand shop it was a Michican Dobro being sold for £70, I mentioned this to a few friends
who popped around to check the guitar (it was not very good) two weeks later with the interest shown it
was on offer for £700, the only bargains that show are from the US,and then it will still cost an arm and a leg to get it to England after shipping, handling, VAT, delivery. we are on a hammering to nothing. I cant count the amount of guitars I would
loved to have purchased from the USA if it were not for the added costs, that's the real world I'm afraid. |

I have to agree with this as I have heard a Eastman
12 string guitar and it sounded excellent. |
