Ken... do you still have the nvram kit for the Profex? My battery is dying and Radio Shack doesn't have a replacement and I might as well make the change. Could you send me a private message regarding how to order if they are still available. I bought a kit from you years back and need one for my other unit.
Thanks.

Don't mean to butt in Ray, but I talked to Ken Monday about the batteryless mod kits he offers on his web site for Profex II.
He and his new wife was getting ready to leave on their Honeymoon, and said he would get back with me when he got back. He also said that he believed he might have 2 mod kits on hand, but was not sure.
Ken did not say when he would be back home.

I also talked to Mike Brown at Peavey to see if they would make the modification to eliminate the battery.
He said they do not make that Batteryless mod, but WILL replace the battery and bring the Profex back to factory specs if you send the Profex to the Factory.
Just thought you might like to know.

Peavey has better customer service than nearly anybody. And with Mike Brown, you get a steel guitar player, too.

Anybody know Sam Marshall's extension? Rolling Eyes

Thanks guys... I really want to do the batteryless mod if at all possible. there is no hurry, I already have one Profex II that's been modified, just want to do the other so as not to destroy the motherboard, now or at a later date. I don't want to forget the battery and later find the main PCB with a big corrosion stain on it. Profex II number 2 is currently opened up on my bench in your typical "basket case" configuration and not hurting anything so I think I will wait until Ken gets back and get one of his remaining kits.

Ken, I hope you have a wonderful, enjoyable, memorable, and safe honeymoon.

Thanks all.

Ken; could you shoot me an email or private message with your purchasing arrangements so that I can buy one of these kits from you?

Thanks and regards,

Ray Minich
